Water Injection

Turbo T

My other car was totaled and bought back from the insurance company. Then through three owners, I got the car. Most of the major parts were replaced. I got to do the small details like painting and the interior.

Interior:

A major cleaning was needed. Some rust from the car being left out in the rain with the windows open and two holes made by a fork lift.

Head liner:

What a messy job cleaning the old material off of the backboard

Paint Day:

This is my second attempt on doing bodywork. The first time was a real learning experience I learned that I was not going to do this again

Paint Booth:

First things first, a place to paint the car. I didn’t want everything in my garage to turn white. So I made a make shift paint booth. With a 100’ role of plastic, I sealed off a portion of my garage.

After two tries at the paint gun, the car was painted.

Finishing:

After a little bit of sanding and then polishing the car, it turned out pretty good. I even learned something about polishing out a paint job. Not bad for an amateur.

What a job this has become, body work, painting, polishing, and interior work. I don’t know if I will do this again but only time will tell. Now it's done and I’m driving it daily. I didn’t realize how much fun it is to drive the car all of the time, it doesn’t get old. bothcars.jpg (60421 bytes)
